When not to close
Use memory release for "still need it" tabs.
If you still need a page's place in your work context, release memory instead of closing it. The tab remains visible, but reopens with a reload. See how memory release works.
Across windows
Find before you close.
If a page might already be open somewhere else, check the cross-window Dashboard first. Jumping to an existing tab is safer than creating another copy or closing the wrong window. Manage tabs across windows.
Save later
Move useful pages out of the tab strip.
When a page matters later but not now, save it before closing the tab. This keeps cleanup intentional without turning every temporary reference into a permanent bookmark. Save tabs for later.
Trust boundary
Safe does not mean magic.
SignalTabs keeps cleanup calm by showing what it will do before risky batch actions. But browser pages can hold temporary state that a URL alone cannot restore. Treat forms, editors, calls, dashboards, and audio pages as higher-risk unless you are comfortable reloading them.
That is why the product protects active, loading, internal, already released, and user-marked keep-active pages from memory release.
